This section is for remembrance of members of our site who have passed away. In this section we will honor our members who fought the good fight, but their time was finally up and they are now in a much better place; free from the needles and the emotional and physical strain that is dialysis. The members here were regular posters who made a difference in others lives by answering questions and sharing their experiences with people new to dialysis. The members listed here are truly missed.

"Lifeonhold" or Darlene Caban was one of the first members of the site, besides Epoman the owner. Lifeonhold helped Epoman by replying to threads when the site's membership consisted of only a few people. Lifeonhold's very last post was on Feburary 01, 2006 by her fiance, informing us of her death. Here is a link to the post: Last post. Please click the post to read what happened. Darlene is truly missed. Thank you "Lifeonhold" for helping me jumpstart the site. There is an online memorial for Darlene at Making Everlasting Memories Website. You will be missed Darlene.
"Jamie" or Jamie Gilbert was a dialysis patient but was also a professional magician. His last post was on December 31, 2005 and his second to last post included this: "I believe it is only time until I go to my happy place......Jamie-G" Here is a link to his last posts: Last posts. Jamie dealt with Kidney failure since the age of 5 and he died at the very young age of 33. Jamie was looking for that special someone to spend his life, with but unfortunately he never found her. Well, Jamie is in a better place now and his suffering is over. You are missed Jamie.
"Oldborris" or Bob Harris was only a member for a very short time and he had a very positive attitude about dialysis. He made the decision to terminate hemodialysis treatment, mainly due to other health conditions seriously jeopardizing his ability to enjoy life. Bob passed away peacefully at Trinity Hospice on Monday, October 17, 2005. You can read his posts (only 12 of them) here. As you will see by reading his posts, oldborris was a "unique" person.

Obviously, there are other members who have passed. Some I know of, others I have no idea if they just stopped posting or passed away. This section is for members who were regular posters and were loyal to the site, and we were notified of their death. We have an emergency contact list in place for those members who wish to sign up. So in the event we do not see them posting for a certain amount of time we can contact a family member either by phone or email. The emergency contact list is totally voluntary, however we encourage our regular members to sign up. Members can sign up by Clicking here. Your contact information will never be shared with anyone except the Administrator and Moderators.
